
SIA "Palīglīdzekļu parks" closely cooperates with the Association "Speciālo palīglīdzekļu parks".
The Association "Speciālo palīglīdzekļu parks" is a non-governmental organization founded in 2013 with the aim of expanding the opportunity for Latvian residents, especially socially vulnerable groups of people, to receive the technical aids necessary to ensure the quality of daily life, thereby improving their functional abilities and promoting their inclusion in society.
The main tasks of the Association:
- receive and put into use technical aids, creating a circulation system
- train users and health and social care professionals on the use of assistive technology
- inform the public about the needs of persons with disabilities and promote the integration of these persons into society
- to develop preventive programs and recommendations on the role of technical aids in promoting health
- collaborating with health and social care professionals, expanding the opportunities for residents to receive technical aids
- to attract volunteers to ensure the activities of the association, giving people the opportunity to engage in public service.
The foundation and activities of the association have been supported for a long time by the Swedish charitable foundation "VAGGAN".
